  • Who We Are

The Southwest Kansas Pro-Am is the longest running professional golf tournament in the state of Kansas. The Southwest Kansas Pro-Am began in 1979 as a traveling tournament. Each year it was held in Dodge City, Liberal, or Garden City, Kansas until it was decided the two beautiful renowned golf courses in Garden City should be the permanent home of the Pro-Am.

    What We Do

All proceeds from the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am benefit the Stephen Meyers Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS.  The NICU is designed to help infants that need a little extra attention to give them the best possible start in life. With the NICU being right here in Garden City, KS, families and loved ones do not have to travel long distances and stay for extended periods of time far away from home. The NICU at St. Catherine Hospital is a Level II, 7 bed unit with state of the art monitoring and treatment equipment and the local center for critical infant care in western Kansas.

The Southwest Kansas Pro-Am attracts golfers from the U.S. and abroad, with professional golf participants from over 10 countries and across the United States.

Each year over 240 amateur golfers participate in the tournament.
